From a documentary project focusing on cancer survivors. I happened upon this photo shoot back in 2008 on Carolina Lane in downtown Asheville. After some self introductions, I asked the photographer and woman seated in this photo (who at the time had been undergoing chemotherapy) if it was okay to take some shots from the sidelines. After given the go ahead, I captured several images.

The now defunct Asheville Horse and Carriage Tours. Animal rights groups forced the service out of the city, failing to understand the real story behind the people that ran this business and the hope they provided to these animals.
